What to expect?
Our goal is to capture the natural moments in life. They can be playful, happy, fun, serious and even not so perfect moments. All of these express life as we really see it.
Bringing along your childs favorite blanket or toy may also be helpful. Props are available or you can provide your own. Sessions are very laid back and relaxed so bring along a snack – there’s plenty of time for breaks and changes!
Sessions last from one to two hours. Outdoor locations are ideal thanks to the natural light which enhances the beauty of your portraits. Early morning or late afternoon are the best times for outdoor sessions. We will come to your location or you can choose from many of the beautiful, natural areas in Statesville, Troutman, Mooresville or other nearby cities. Studio sessions are also available!
Scheduling?
Life keeps me busy so the quicker you book your session, the better! Keep in mind, weekends fill up fast. When the weather is warm and people are anxious to get outside, evening sessions tend to book fast as well. Give us a call to schedule your session!
Session’s over, now what?
1-2 weeks after your session, your images will be placed in a private online gallery for viewing. You will be given a password (you’re welcome to share this with friends & family) to log in with. Once you’re ready to place your order, you can order through the cart in your online gallery or you’re welcome to call or email me your order! If you have questions, don’t hesitate to call!
What to wear?
Keep it simple! Too many colors or prints can be distracting. Denim or khaki, along with soft, light colors work well. If more than one person will be in the session, coordinating outfits or complementary colors work best. Check out our Fashion Guide under the Specialty Items tab!
Helpful tips…
Search for a cute outfit and plan the rest of your family’s clothing colors around that one cute ensemble.
Choose two complimentary colors and base your clothes using similar hues.
Consider your home decor. These beautiful photographs will be displayed in your home. Try to keep your family’s clothing in the same color scheme!
Children love to get involved so let them pick a favorite outfit for a few shots!
Especially with older kids and teens – let their personalities shine with their attire!
For newborns & babies, less is more! Black shirts for mom and dad with newborns is a plus! White button up shirts are great for the classic maternity look!
Bring several outfits along with you to your session! You’re welcome to change as often as time allows. Sessions typically last 1-2 hours.
Be sure to accessorize! That includes anything you’re into – skateboard, guitar, books – shoot, you can even bring the kitchen sink if that’s what you dig! It’s all about you and my job is to bring out your personality!
