What to wear?
Keep it simple! Too many colors or prints can be distracting. Denim or khaki, along with soft, light colors work well. If more than one person will be in the session, coordinating outfits or complementary colors work best. It can also be fun to let kids pick a favorite outfit for a few shots! Pets are welcome too!
What to expect?
Our goal is to capture the natural moments in life. They can be playful, happy, fun, serious and even not so perfect moments. All of them express life as we really see it. Bringing along your child’s favorite blanket or toy may also be helpful. Props are available or you can provide your own. Sessions last from one to two hours. This allows plenty of time for snacks, breaks and changes. Outdoor locations are ideal thanks to the natural light which enhances the beauty of your portraits. Early morning or late afternoon are the best times for outdoor sessions. We will come to your location or you can choose from many of the beautiful, natural areas nearby. Studio sessions are also available by appointment at 118 W. Broad Street Suite B in downtown Statesville.
Scheduling?
For any session, it’s best to book as soon as possible. Maternity sessions are best done approximately six weeks prior to your due date. For newborns, about two weeks of age works best. After that, three, six and nine months as well as birthdays and special occasions or holidays are prime times for sessions. We will discuss your ideas and options further when you call to schedule your session.
Afterwards?
Your photos will be available for viewing approximately two weeks after your session. You have the option of viewing proofs either in person or online. Orders can be placed in person, by phone or by email. Payment must be made in full along with your order. We accept cash, check or credit card payments by Paypal. Prints will be delivered within 2-3 weeks of your order.
